About

Samuel Litman

Hello! I am a pen & ink artist originally from San Diego, Calif. and recently relocated to Laramie, Wyo. I am completely self-taught, and do art as a business to fund my life as a meth cook (chemistry student). Traveling with my aunt, Donna, to Western themed trade shows, fairs, and rodeos across the United States for nearly two decades inspired me to try and get my artwork out into the world. As a long-time attendant at Cheyenne Frontier Days and later as a graduate student at the University of Wyoming, I have come to appreciate the beauty of the great plains and getting to know the people of the Cowboy State. I hope to call this place home!

Of course, I draw in pen and ink—mostly western subjects: rodeo, ranch life, and all kinds of animals (especially pets and my friends’ farm animals). I’ll also take on most anything by request.

Each year you’ll find my work at Cheyenne Frontier Days and Cowboy Christmas during the National Finals Rodeo.

Original drawings and prints are available in the shop. For custom work, see Commissions.
